Jessica Kostek of MuzikReviews.com concluded that
“[o]verall, A Better Life is a wonderful CD that will leave listeners full of anticipation for Krokoff’s second release.” Annie Reuter of You Sing, I Write, noted that A Better Life “can be easily kept on repeat all day long” and that “many of his songs could be easily heard on the radio.” She also remarked that “after giving A Better Life a close listen I’m glad Krokoff quit his day job to pursue his passion.” Similarly, Colin Meeks of Indie Launchpad concluded that A Better Life “is one of those albums, that you listen to and in the blink of an eye it’s over. This is a trait that marks a fine album.”In February 2009, Scott’s song “A Better Life,” the title cut from Scott’s CD, placed Runner-Up in Mike Pinder’s SONGWARS songwriting competition. Mike Pinder is one of the founders of The Moody Blues and Scott was honored that one of his songs was selected.
A Better Life was also selected on January 29, 2009, as Single of the Day by blogger/musician Jody Whitesides on his blog, SingleOfTheDay.com. Scott’s music has also been featured recently on other blogs and podcasts, such as Vinny Bond’s Big Leather Couch blog and Earl Clifton’s Radio Podcast, and in June 2009, 3 of Scott’s songs placed on Japan’s PMN Hit Makers Podcast Weekly Top 5 Countdown.Scott began his music career as a singer and songwriter in a band called Equinox, which had its beginnings in Binghamton, New York, and later became a frequent performer in the New York City scene during the 1990’s. However, like many others before him who tried to take the responsible and practical route, Scott completed law school while he was still a member of Equinox and began a promising career as a tax attorney with some of New York City’s largest and most prestigious firms. Scott never gave up his dream, though, and in February 2008, Scott resigned from his full-time law position to live his dream.
