Michael Patrick Flanagan Smith has corresponded with Pete Seeger, played shows with Ramblin’ Jack Elliott and written & starred in “Woody Guthrie dreams before dying,” a play about the American folk icon.

His first EP, “All the Cars My Friends Stole” was recorded live over 3 nights.  The music & stories from the show are based on Smith’s youth, growing up in a broke down farmhouse in rural Maryland, his friends & family and the trouble they got into.

Smith is currently working on a full length studio album with members of Wye Oak, Arboretum, Baltimore Afro-Beat Society and others.
